Follow or Unfollow

For your information, my posting was related with twitter, as a social media. Happy reading 🙂

Following or Unfollow

People following people, people unfollow people, people block people, people circle on people, and many other things. Yeah, words ‘follow’, ‘unfollow’, ‘block user’, and etc are familiar whose using twitter as social media. Is it like a real life? we knew someone, we met them, we acquainted them also. If we like them, they will become our close friends. Simple. Right?

Then, how many our close friends? Maybe we can count on it, only few of them. There are certain reason why we choose them to be our close friends, maybe have same hobby, same interesting, or mutual each other. So, there will be a reason why we choose them.

Okay, next question : “What is the reason people unfollow people?” In social media, like twitter, maybe we unfollow people because we don’t like their tweets, or maybe we try to know them by following them first but we disappointed with their tweets finally. The other words is we are expecting more from them but they aren’t fullfill our expectation.

My circle, do you know what is this function? My circle help us to selecting some people which we really want to see their tweets. It not always our closest friend that we circled. Some of us will circle motivator, a person who gave information, artist, or people who inspired us.

The last one is ‘block user’. Not many people use this function, but in terms of condition we use this when we feel that people disturb us or someone who really we don’t want to see them anymore.

In our real world, we also use these function : follow, unfollow, my circle, block user. We will meet people that we like or not. We can’t blame it, because good and bad are exits before we born in this world. We can’t avoid people who critique on us, people will tweets their words everyday.

How to keep our mind positively? Learning from twitter, first, Following people who will be our close friends.

“The likeness of a righteous companion and an evil companion is that of one who carries musk and one who works a bellows. With the one who carries musk, either he will give you some or you will buy from him or you will notice a pleasant fragrance from him. With the one who work a bellows, either he will burn your clothes or you will notice a foul odour from him.” (Bukhari 5534 and Muslim 2628.)

Two, ignore their negative tweets as long their tweets not straight with our rule (Al-Quran and hadist as a muslim). If you can told the right one, told them. If they still with their rock heart (hehe), it wasn’t your authority to change them. Your job is done. Unfollow them. Pray for them.

On the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khurdari, who said: I heard the messenger of Allah say:
“Whosoever of you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so. then with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest faith.” (Muslim)

Third, circle on a good people. Trying to have positive people, motivated people, inspiring people, it will help us keep positive our mindset. Also meet ulama, join activities related with faith to keep high our imaan.

We can’t avoid good and bad in this world. People always chattering, so just keep moving and always pray to Allah SWT to guide us in a right path..

Follow a good or bad is not our fate, is our choice…
